Until I updated my iOS to 10, when I connected my iPhone 6 to my iMac, to charge it, it would automatically download my recent photos to my Dropbox. Now, with iOS 10, it no longer does that.
I do NOT want to use iCloud storage nor do I want to use iPhoto in my computer. Dropbox was just what I wanted and what I had.
Can anyone help me get that feature back, please?

Do you have a paid DropBox account? DropBox recently made that feature part of paid accounts only.
Google Photo still does it for free.
Mr. LarryHN, since you are very obviously more than qualified to advise people (level 10), why not just put in your reply, as a suggestion to me, to which forum I should have posted this?

iPhoto is no longer supported by Apple and would be a bad choice to start using now anyway.
Probably you do not want to use the iPhoto successor Photos for Mac either.
But you can always download photos from your iPhone or iPad using the Image Capture application. It will show you the contents of the Camera Roll and you can download the photos to a folder on your Mac.
Sorry snarky - I am not an iPhone expert nor am I a DropBox expert - and I have no idea if your post should be in an iPnone forum, an IOS 10 forum , some other Apple forum or probably just the DropBox support forum - had I had a suggestion I would have made it

I had this issue as well. I downloaded the latest Dropbox Mac App (11.4.21 on 10/3/16), rebooted the Mac and now it works. I plug in the IOS 10 iPhone 6+ and it automatically downloads photos and videos again.
Thanks for this, I was having the same issue and this solved it. FYI to anyone else, my first upload after making these changes took way longer than normal, so it might not look like it's working at first.
